Meet our Partners Mitch Silvey, CPA/Bonnie Mackey, CPA, CSEP*/Bob Zelko, CPA    *Certified Specialist in Estate Planning Mitch has been a resident of South Florida since 1972 and a practicing CPA since 1973. He started his career on Wall Street with an international CPA firm after graduating from Hofstra University in 1970. He heads up the firm's tax and financial planning areas. Mitch enjoys working closely with the clients, incorporating business and estate planning, business continuation, and long term financial and tax strategies, as only a firm our size can do. He has represented numerous taxpayers in front of federal and state taxing authorities including appeals in Washington, DC and Tallahassee, Florida. In addition to the firm's memberships, Mitch is on the Board of Directors and serves as Treasurer for Youth Sports of Hollywood, Inc. Bonnie has been a resident of South Florida since 1965 and a practicing CPA since 1995. She graduated from the University of South Florida in 1992 with an extended Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Degree. In 2000, Bonnie received her Certified Specialist in Estate Planning (CSEP) designation from the National Institute for Excellence in Professional Education, LLC. Her background includes all facets of accounting, including financial statement and tax preparation, as well as computer software and bookkeeping assistance. She is also a 2006 Certified Quickbooks Pro Advisor. In addition, Bonnie is an instructor for the Becker CPA Review course, an FICPA Ethics course facilitator and a frequent lecturer on various topics. She is the President-elect for the FICPA Goldcoast chapter, past-president of the American Woman's Society of CPAs - S. Florida Affiliate, past-president of the North Dade/South Broward Estate Planning Council, and treasurer of the Broward County Guardianship Association, in addition to the firm's other affiliations. She is also a lifetime member of Women's E-commerce Association, Inc. Bonnie received the 2006 ABWA's Small Business Leader of the Year, AWSCPA's Public Service Award, and was a finalist in the Key Partners' Accounting & Tax award, the 2005 recipient of the S. Florida Business Journal's Excellence in Accounting Award for Estates & Trusts, and in 2001 the NAWBO Vista Award as well as the Women's Council of Commerce Women's Circle of Excellence Award. She also holds a third degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and was a mentor for Take Stock in Children program. Bob has been a resident of South Florida and a practicing CPA since 1975. He is a graduate of the University of South Florida and has prior experience with both international and regional firms. He heads up the firm's auditing and accounting areas and has extensive experience in assisting clients in various industries prepare their audited, reviewed and compiled financial statements. Bob also assists in loan negotiations, consulting and tax services, and business purchases and sales. In addition to monitoring the firm's membership in the AICPA Quality Review program, he served as a peer reviewer for numerous other CPA firms since 1985. Bob has proudly served the community through his involvement in various organizations. He served as Treasurer on the Board of Directors of Temple Solel  and is immediate past-President of the Florida Kiwanis Foundation, as well as past-president of the Kiwanis of Hollywood and Lt. Governor for the Florida District of Kiwanis International. In addition to the firm's memberships, Bob is also a past recipient of the Leadership Hollywood "Alumni of the Year" award.
